Braintree

Braintree is PayPal's enterprise payment platform — separate API
from regular PayPal, supports cards, PayPal, Venmo, ACH, and local
methods. The payments app ships Braintree Settings.

When to use it

• Enterprise card volume — Braintree's pricing is competitive
  past a certain volume threshold.
• Existing Braintree merchant account — you don't want to move.
• You need card + PayPal in one gateway — Braintree exposes both
  from a single integration.

For most Dutch SMBs, Stripe or Mollie are simpler choices.

Settings

Open Braintree Settings in the awesomebar. Required:

• Merchant ID, Public Key, Private Key from your
  Braintree control panel.
• Sandbox toggle for test mode.

Workflow

Customer pays via Braintree's Drop-In UI → Braintree webhooks
ERPNext → Payment Entry created.

Prilk support

Upstream-maintained. We support it as a standard ERPNext gateway
during implementation. Custom Braintree flows (e.g. Venmo, ACH)
are out of scope unless explicitly contracted.
